Set font color for selected text in message body

Note: Methods introduced on this page apply to Microsoft Outlook 2019 desktop program in Windows 10. And the instructions may vary significantly or slightly depending on the version of Microsoft Outlook and the Windows environments.
Set font color for selected text in message body with Font Color feature
You can add or change the font color of the selected text in the message body as easily as that in Word. Please do as follows:
1. In the message body, select the text whose font color you will set or change.
2. Go to the Font group on the Format Text tab, and select a color from the Font Color drop down list .
Tips: You will also get the Font Color drop-down list in the Basic Text group on the Message tab too.
Now the font color of the selected text changes to the specified color.

You can also open the Font dialog and configure the font color of the selected text with the dialog.
1. In the message body, select the text whose font color you will set or change.
2. Click the anchor at the bottom-right corner of the Font group on the Format Text tab to open the Font dialog.
Tips: You can also press Ctrl + D keys to open the Font dialog.
3. In the Font dialog, enable the Font tab, and click the box below Font color and select a color from the drop-down list, and finally click the OK button.
Now the font color of the selected text in the message body changes to the chosen color.
Notes
Clear custom font color
You can easily remove the custom font color from the selected text and restore to the default font color as follows:
1. Select the text whose font color you will clear;
2. In the Font group on the Format Text tab, click the Font Color box, and select Automatic from the drop-down list.
Get more custom font color
Although it has already listed 10 series of font colors in the Font Color drop-down list, you might not find out the very font color you need. In this situation, you can click Font Color > More Colors on the Format Text tab, and then pick up your custom color from the Colors dialog.
