Not show/hide formulas from formula bar with Format Cell feature

We can format the cells with formulas as hidden, and protect the whole worksheet, and then the formulas won’t show in the formula bar. You can do as follows:

Step 1: Right click the cell whose formula you will hide from formula bar, and select Format Cells from the right-clicking menu.

Note: Holding the Ctrl key, you can select multiple nonadjacent cells with clicking each one; holding the Shift key, you can select multiple adjacent cells with clicking the first one and the last one.

Step 2: In the popping up Format Cells dialog box, check the Hidden option on the Protection tab, and click the OK button.

Step 3: If there are other cells whose formulas you want to hide from the formula bar, please repeat the Step 1 and Step 2.

Step 4: Click the Review > Protect Sheet.

Step 5: In the opening Protect Sheet dialog box, type a password and click the OK button; then in the Confirm Password dialog box reenter the password, and click the OK button.

Now current worksheet is protected. When you click the hidden cells, the formulas won’t show in the formula bar. See screen shot:
