How to change uppercase to lowercase or vice versa in Outlook?

Have you faced the question that when you type in a sentence accidentally all in uppercase as the Caps Lock key is turning on, you need to remove the whole sentence and then retype in the accurate one? Thatโ€™s so annoying for removing and retyping the words you typed again and again. Actually, you can directly change the words uppercase to lowercase or vice versa in Outlook.

Using shortcut key is an efficient way for you to change the wordsโ€™ uppercase to lowercase or vice versa in Outlook.

1. In the Message window, select the words you want to change the case.

2. Then press Shift + F3 keys simultaneously. If the selected words are all uppercase, when you press the Shift + F3 keys at the first time, they are all be changed to lowercase immediately.

3. When you keep pressing the Shift + F3 keys at the second time, the first letter of the sentence will be changed to uppercase automatically.

Note: If there are uppercases and lowercases mixed in the sentence, this shortcut keys can also work.

Besides the shortcut key, you can also change the uppercase to lowercase or vice versa with Outlook Change Case function. Please do as follows.

1. In the Message window, select the words you want to change the case.

2. Then go to the Format Text tab, click the Change Case button to expand the drop-down list.

3. There are five cases included in the Change Case function:

1). Sentence case;

2). Lowercase;

3). UPPERCASE;

4). Capitalize Each Word;

5). Toggle cASE.

Please select one option you need among them.
