 Quickly export the emails or tasks listing information to Excel file from Outlook

Supposing, you need to export the emails or tasks listing information to an Excel file, normally, the Import / Export feature in Outlook can help you to export all emails. But, here, I will introduce an easy tool-Kutools for Outlook’s Quick Report, with this utility, the information of the messages or tasks in any selected folder will be exported to an Excel file.

Generate an XLM report file for the emails listing information

To export the information of messages in Inbox, Sent Items or other folders, please do as this:

1. Select the email folder that you want to export, and then click Kutools Plus > Quick Report > Quick Report, see screenshot:

2. And then, in the displayed Save Report window, choose a folder to locate the file, and specify the file name as you need, and then click the Save button.

3. A message box pops out to remind you if you want to open the exported file, see screenshot:

4. Click Yes to open the file, and you can see the emails' information displayed in an Excel workbook as shown in the screenshot below.

Note: By default, the exported email fields are Subject, From, Received Time, Size, Categories and Importance. You can specify the fields to be exported as you need. Please do as follows:

1) Click Kutools Plus > Quick Report > Settings.
2) In the Quick Report Settings dialog box, only check the fields you want to export, and then click OK to save the changes. Or you can click the Quick Report button to export the email information with the newly specified fields.

To export the information of tasks to Excel, please do with the following steps:

1. Go to Task pane, select the task folder you want to export, and then click Kutools Plus > Quick Report > Quick Report to apply this utility.

2. In the displayed Save Report window, choose a folder to locate the file, specify the file name as you need, and then click the Save button.

3. A message box now pops out to remind you if you want to open the exported file, see screenshot:

4. Click the Yes button, and you can see the tasks' information displayed in an Excel workbook as shown in the screenshot below.

in quick report for excel, i need to get info for other fields. in your above picture and my exported first trial i can only see Received Date Time info. I need to extract Send Date Time for example also. Thanks.

how would this look with multiple shared mailboxes? Would this tool be able to count all of them? could it also count specified folders in each mailbox?
