Follow the steps below to insert a checkbox symbol into your Word document:

  1. Place the cursor where you want the checkbox symbol, then click "Insert" > "Symbol" > "More Symbols".

  2. In the Symbol dialog box:
    1. Select "Wingdings 2" from the "Font" drop-down list.
    2. Choose the desired checkbox symbol.
    3. Click the "Insert" button.

Tip: To insert the same checkbox symbol in another location, simply place the cursor where you want to insert it and click the "Insert" button again in the Symbol dialog.

Insert multiple checkbox symbols in bulk with Bullets feature

This method sets up a checkbox as a custom bullet so you can apply it to multiple lines at once:

  1. Select the list items, then click "Home" > "Bullets" > "Define New Bullet".
