Description

The Excel MULTINOMIAL function returns the ratio of the factorial of a sum of supplied values to the product of factorials of those values.

Formula syntax

MULTINOMIAL(number1,[number2],...)

Arguments

  • number1, number2: required, ubsequent numbers are optional, and up to 255 numbers can be used. If you are in Excel 2003 version, only 29 numbers can be added.

Returns

The MULTINOMIAL function returns a numeric value.

Errors

  • 1. If any argument is non-numeric, the MULTINOMIAL function returns #VALUE! error.
  • 2. If any argument is less than zero, the MULTINOMIAL function returns #NUM! error.

To get MULTINOMIAL of the numbers in B3:B7 please use the below formula:

=MULTINOMIAL(B3:B7)
