How to switch workbooks in Excel?

When you have multiple workbooks opening, you may want to switch the workbooks quickly. Now I will tell you some quick ways to switch workbooks in Excel.

Here I will introduce some shortcuts for you to quickly switch workbooks.

Move to next workbook: Press CTRL+F6 or CTRL+TAB.

Move to previous workbook: Press CTRL+SHIFT+F6 or CTRL+SHIFT+TAB.

Switch last active windows in your computer: Press Alt + Tab quickly together.

Tip:

1. The Ctrl + F6 keys can help you switch between last two working (Active) workbooks in Excel 2013, too.

2. If you want to swith among all opening windows in your computer, you can press Alt firts, then press Tab. see screenshot:

In Excel, you can use its Switch Windows feature to switch workbooks.

Click View > Switch Windows, then in the list, select the workbook you want to switch to. See screenshot:
