How to count the number of visible sheets in a workbook?
In a large workbook with multiple sheets, some of sheets are visible, and some of sheets are hidden, and in some cases, you may need to count the total number of the visible sheets of the workbook, how can you count them in a short time? Now I introduce some tricks for you to quickly count the number of visible sheets in a workbook.

In Excel, except counting visible sheets one by one, there is VBA can help you quickly count the number of visible sheets.
After free installing Kutools for Excel, please do as below:
1. Press Alt + F11 keys to enable Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window, then click Insert > Module to open a new Module.
2. Paste below VBA code to the Module window.

3. Press Run button, then a dialog pops out to tell you the number of visible sheets.

After free installing Kutools for Excel, please do as below:
1. Enable the workbook you want to count the number of visible sheets, and click Kutools > Navigation. See screenshot:
2. Then the Navigation pane appears in the left of current sheet, and click Workbook & Sheet tab to go to Workbook & Sheet section. You can view the number of visible sheets, hidden sheets, and all sheets including visible and hidden sheets at the bottom of the pane. See screenshot:
If you want to hide the Navigation pane, just click Kutools > Navigation to hide it.
