For example, you always want the workbook to open at cell A1 of each worksheet regardless of where you were in the workbook when it was last closed. Please do as follows:

1. Hold down the ALT + F11 keys to open the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window. In the left Project-VBAProject pane, double click ThisWorkbook to open a blank module, and then copy and paste the following code into the module, see screenshot:

VBA code: Always open a workbook with each sheet at cell A1:

Private Sub Workbook_SheetActivate(ByVal Wsh As Object)
'Updateby Extendoffice 20160906
On Error Resume Next
Wsh.Range("A1").Select
End Sub

doc always open at A1 1

2. Then close this code, and click File > Save As to save the workbook as Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook format, see screenshot:

doc always open at A1 2

3. From now on, when you open this workbook next time, please click Enable Content to activate the code, and toggle between the sheets, you can see each worksheet is at cell A1 automatically.

If you just need to open a specific sheet at cell A1 when launching the workbook every time, the following VBA code may help you.

For example, I always want to go to the Sheet1 at cell A1 when opening the workbook.

1. Hold down the ALT + F11 keys to open the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window. In the left Project-VBAProject pane, double click ThisWorkbook to open a blank module, and then copy and paste the following code into the module, see screenshot:

VBA code: Always open a workbook with specific sheet at cell A1:

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
'Updateby Extendoffice 20160907
Application.Goto ThisWorkbook.Sheets("Sheet1").Range("A1"), True
End Sub

doc always open at A1 4

Note: In the above code, Sheet1 and A1 are the worksheet and cell reference that you want to go to when opening the workbook. You can change them to your need.

2. Then close this code, and click File > Save As to save the workbook as Excel Macro-Enabled Workbook format, from now on, when you open this workbook next time, please click Enable Content to activate the code, and it will go to the Sheet1 at cell A1 automatically.
