The term 'infinite' is the key here - by definition, you will never be able to delete an infinite number of rows. The fact the Excel is designed to create infinite rows is just one more of its SHOCKING design flaws, surpassed only by the fact the writer of this guidance doesn't understand it. And besides, the advice is bogus because it doesn't just purport to delete empty ROWS, it also deletes all empty CELLS, even in rows that are otherwise populated. How Excel even exists is a mystery to me, surpassed only by the mystery of how the writer of this guidance doesn't understand any of it.

There is infinite rows/columns..and therefore the program crashes before it can select them all to delete them. This doesn't work.

Excel may be crash if there are large data in your sheet while you use the first method to select and delete the infinite rows or column. In this case, the Delete Blank Rows utility can do you a faovr.
