How to highlight multiples of a specific number in Excel?

Highlighting a specific value in an Excel range may be easy for you, but in some cases, you may need to highlight all the multiples of a specific number, as shown in the screenshot below. How can you solve it quickly?

Actually, you can use a formula in Conditional Formatting to highlight multiples of a specific numbe.

1. Type the specific number whose multiples you will highlight in a cell as below screenshot shown:

2. Then select the range of cells and click Home > Conditional Formatting > New Rule. See screenshot:

3. Then in the New Formatting Rule dialog, select Use a formula to determine which cells to format in the Select a Rule Type list, and type this formula =MOD(A1,$F$1)=0 into the Format values where this formula is true textbox, and click Format to enable the Format Cells dialog, under Fill tab, and select one color you want to use for highlighting. In the formula, A1 is the first cell of the selected cell, and F1 is the specific number.

4. Click OK > OK. Then all the multiples of the specific number will be filled with the selected color.
