Remove indents with cells with Decrease Indent command
Indents created using the Increase Indent command or by setting paddings can be reversed easily.
Step 1: Highlight the range of cells from which you want to remove indents. Ensure these cells contain indents created by the Increase Indent command.
Step 2: Navigate to the Home tab, click the Decrease Indent button.
This action removes the indent, except for indents created by blank spaces.
Quickly remove indents space with cells with Kutools for Excel
Indents in Excel cells are sometimes created using blank spaces, especially when data is copied from other sources like web pages or word processing documents. These blank spaces can make data look uneven and poorly formatted. Fortunately, Kutools for Excel includes a Remove Spaces tool that simplifies the process of eliminating these space-based indents quickly and efficiently.
Step 1: Select the cells or range where you want to remove indent spaces.
Step 2: Click Kutools > Text > Remove Spaces.
Step 3: In the Remove Spaces dialog box, check the All excess spaces option, and click OK.
After clicking OK, Kutools for Excel processes your selected cells, and all spaces that were used as indents will be removed. The cells will now appear clean, with text properly aligned without unnecessary spaces.
Tip: To use this feature, you should install Kutools for Excel first, pleaseBest Office Productivity Tools
