How to add notes to contacts in Outlook?
We can add notes to emails easily in Outlook, but do you know how to add notes to a contacts? And what if adding notes to senders or recipients when reading messages in Outlook? In this article, I will introduce several easy methods to add notes to contacts in Outlook.

When you view a message in Outlook 2013, you can easily add a note to the contact associated with current message.
Step 1: Click a message to show it in the Reading Pane, right click sender or recipients, and then select the Edit Contact (or Add to Outlook Contacts) from the right-clicking menu.
When you view contacts in the People view of a specified contact folder, you can add note to a contact with following steps.
Step 1: Show the contact folder in the people view with clicking the Change View > People on the View tab.
Step 2: Click a contact to show it in the Reading Pane.
Step 3: Click the Edit button at the very right side of Reading Pane.
Step 4: Click the Notes tab, enter your note into the blank box, and click the Save button. See screen shot below:
When you open and view contacts in specified contact folder of Outlook 2007/2010/2013, you can add note to a certain contact with these steps.
Step 1: Double click to open the contact that you will add a note into.
Step 3: Click the Save & Close button on the Contact tab.
Note: This method works with all views of contact folder in Outlook 2007/2010/2013, except the People view of contact folder in Outlook 2013.
