How to remove double line spacing in Outlook?
Usually, double-spacing is used only between paragraphs by default. If you find your line spacing is too large, maybe it is because your line spacing is set to be double line spacing. In this case, we will talk about two ways to remove double line spacing temporarily and permanently.
Note: Here takes Microsoft Outlook 365 as an instance, the steps and descriptions may have some differences in other Outlook versions.
Get rid of the double line spacing in the current email message
1. Select the text with double line spacing in the composing message window.
2. Go to the Format Text tab and click No Spacing in the Styles group.
You can see now that the double line spacing no longer exists.
Remove the double line spacing permanently
1. In the composing message window.
2. Go to the Format Text tab and click down-arrow icon in the right corner of the Paragraph group to open the Paragraph dialog box.
3. In the Paragraph dialog box, go to the Spacing section. You can see the settings of double line spacing.
4. Change the After setting from 12 pt to 0 pt. Change the Line spacing from Double to Single. Then click the Set As Default button.
5. A Microsoft Outlook message window pops up. Choose the All documents based on the NormalEmail template option. Then click OK.
Now every time you compose a new email, reply to and forward an email, the double line spacing will be removed.
