  1. Click Kutools > Paragraphs > Select Non-heading Paragraphs.

Note: You can also use this utility to select all non-heading paragraphs within a selected portion of the document by selecting the portion first and then applying the utility.

Select non-heading paragraphs with VBA

You can also use VBA to select all non-heading paragraphs. Follow the steps below:

  1. Press Alt + F11 to open the Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications window.
  2. Click Module on the Insert tab, then copy and paste the following VBA code into the module window. 
    Sub SelectNonHeadingParagraphs()
Dim tempTable As Paragraph
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
ActiveDocument.DeleteAllEditableRanges wdEditorEveryone
For Each tempTable In ActiveDocument.Paragraphs
    If tempTable.Style <> ActiveDocument.Styles(wdStyleHeading1) Then
        tempTable.Range.Editors.Add wdEditorEveryone
    End If
Next
ActiveDocument.SelectAllEditableRanges wdEditorEveryone
ActiveDocument.DeleteAllEditableRanges wdEditorEveryone

  3. Click Run Run button to execute the code.

Note: This method uses Heading 1 as an example. You can replace it with other heading styles. If your document includes multiple heading styles, this method may not be suitable.
