How to easily copy and pasted range or chart as picture in Excel?
In some cases, you want to copy and paste a range or char as picture so that it only can show the data but cannot be edited. In this tutorial, I will tell you the methods to easily copy and pasted range or char as picture in Excel.
Copy and paste range or chart as picture with Copy as Picture function
Copy and paste range or chart as picture with Kutools for Excel
Export all charts as gif/tif/jpeg/png with Kutools for Excel
Export range as image with Kutools for Excel
Copy and paste range or chart as picture with Copy as Picture function
In Excel, you can use the Copy as Picture function to quickly copy and paste range or chart.
1. Select the range or chart you want to copy and paste as picture, then click Home > Copy > Copy as Picture. See screenshot:
2. In the opening Copy Picture dialog box, specify the options based on your needs, and click the OK button.
3. Select a location to paste the picture, and press Ctrl + V to paste the picture.
Note: This method does not work in Excel 2007.
Copy and paste range or chart as picture with Kutools for Excel
If you have Kutools for Excel, you can save the range or chart as auto text entry, and then insert the range or chart as picture at any time if you need.
1. Click Kutools > Insert > Resource Library. See screenshot:
2. The Resource Library pane pops out and select the range you want to add to the Resource Library, then click . See screenshot:
3. Then specify a name for this new item, and then select a group you want to add to. See screenshot:
4. Click Add to finish.
When you need to insert this range as picture, just need to select a cell that locate the picture, then enable the Resource Library pane, and find the range then click the beside the range, and click Insert as > Picture (EMF).
Export all charts as gif/tif/jpeg/png with Kutools for Excel
If you have Kutools for Excel, you also can export all charts of a workbook as gif, tif, png or jpeg images to a specified folder.
After free installing Kutools for Excel, please do as below:
1. Enable the workbook you want to export the charts, and click Kutools Plus > Import & Export > Export Graphics. See screenshot:
2. In the popped out dialog,
1) Select the graphic type you want to export from the Types drop down list;
2) Then select a directory to out put the graphics;
3) Select the picture format you want from Export format drop down list.
3. Click the Ok button. A dialog pops out to tell you how many pictures have been successfully exported.
4. Click OK to close it, and go to the directory you specify to view the exported pictures.
Export range as image with Kutools for Excel
With Kutools for Excel, you can use Export Range as Graphic utility to export a range as png/tif/jpeg/gif picture.
After free installing Kutools for Excel, please do as below:
1. Select a range you want to export as image, and click Kutools Plus > Import & Export > Export Range as Graphic. See screenshot:
2. In the Export Range as Graphic dialog, select the save directory you want, and then select the image format you need from the Export format drop down list.
3. Click Ok, and another dialog pops out for naming the range, in default, it is named based on the range reference.
4. Click Ok, and a dialog pops out to remind you the range has been exported successfully, just close it. And you can go to the directory to find the range image.
