This is an incredibly complicated process to just search my inbox. And the functionality is already available.
How To Create A Search Folder From Inbox Only In Outlook?
Go to your Inbox.Enter the search criteria (e.g. "Salad") in the search box at the top of the screen.Press the down arrow in the search box.The default is "Current Mailbox" so just press "Search".
That's just two mouse clicks - click on the down arrow, click on "Search".
I'd include a screen shot but I can't find the functionality to do so below. Is it a sticker or is the functionality not available?

I've only included my email because I can't "Post" my comment without it.
Please do not bombard my Inbox with emails just because you've got my email address.
Please do not publish my email address in the Comments section for the world so see.
Please to not publish my name in the Comments section for the world to see.
I want to be anonymous (you can see my name from my email).

Using your method it still returns too many items because the default of the latest outlook is to show the email thread. So using the standard search, even if you select current mailbox it will include sent items to see the thread, sort by focus items, and do all the other dumb additional adds that outlook has included. This method is better if you want a true INBOX only search function.
