Kutools for word’s Pick Up Caption and Put Down Reference can help you easily cross reference tables, figures and equations captions in Microsoft Word. It is just as simple as the way to copy the caption you want to reference with Pick Up Caption and to cross-reference the caption with Put Down Reference.

Please click on or select the caption you want to pick up for cross-referencing by clicking Kutools Plus > More > Pick up Caption, and then put the cursor to the place where you want to cross-reference the caption and apply the utility by clicking Kutools Plus > More > Put Down Reference. 1. Please click on or select the caption you want to pick up for cross-referencing as shown in the below screenshot.
2. Click Kutools Plus > More > Pick Up Caption. See screenshot:
3. And then put the cursor to the place where you want to cross-reference the caption and apply the utility by clicking Kutools Plus > More > Put Down Reference. See screenshot:
4. As you can see in the below screenshot, the Table 3 caption has been cross-referenced, so that you can press Ctrl + Click to follow link.
