Will formulas and formatting be preserved?

Yes for XLSX/XLS. When exporting to CSV/TXT, only values are saved (by design of those formats). PDF exports use your print area & page setup.

Can I choose which worksheets to split?

Yes — all worksheets are listed in the dialog; simply check the ones you need. Hidden or blank sheets can be skipped.

Is my data secure?

The operation runs locally in Excel on your PC — no cloud upload.

Does it handle very large workbooks?
